The Chiron Team consists of professionals from a cross-section of careers in Engineering, Environment, Chemical, Textile, Machine Tools, Information Technology and Financial sectors. Over the last 40 years, independently, they have worked in almost all functions of Management - sales and marketing, manufacturing, development, engineering, human resources, project management, services and finance, apart from heading large business groups at senior levels.
Raju Halbe is a Chemical Engineer with varied and rich industry experience in energy and environment
technologies and related industrial equipment. From energy systems to water treatment and performance
chemicals, the challenges turned him into an able leader and a planner. In his career with Thermax,
an Energy & Chemical Major, besides heading a large operational team, he established the marketing
channels and international markets in 13 countries. As Executive Vice President and a key Executive
Council member, he was responsible for strategy formulation for Thermax’s four core businesses.
At A.T.E., a Textile and Engineering Group, he created a new business line under the banner CLEAN
TECHNOLOGY. Apart from helping A.T.E. to create two business ventures, he also started a new activity,
Solar Thermal Concentrator, for the A.T.E. Group. He was a Director on the Executive Board of this
Group, before he retired.
Also in A.T.E., Raju helped institute the Mentoring Programme for senior employees and was a member of the Apex Council for Mentoring. In a span of 3 years, he has mentored 30+ people in various companies; the list includes General Managers, Vice-Presidents and Business Heads.
Along with Mr Abhay Nalawade & Dilip Sathaye, Raju co-founded Chiron Lasting Solutions Private Limited, a Strategic Management Consulting Company. His core skills include business strategy formulation, human resources management, sales & marketing strategies, project management and mentoring.
Dilip Sathaye is a major in Marketing and Finance. He has 35+ years of experience both in public
and private sectors and has worked with institutions like SICOM (The State Industrial & Investment
Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd) and Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation)
While working with these institutions, Dilip developed valuable skills in project feasibility,
disbursement & recovery of term loans, mergers & acquisitions, revival of sick units, setting up
SME factories and merchant banking). In 1995 he started working independently as financial consultant.
In 2000, along with Abhay Nalawade and Raju Halbe, he started the Management Consulting under the name Chiron Lasting Solutions Private limited.
Dilip specializes in help establishing multinational companies, identifying new business ideas, financial analysis, arranging funding/venture capital for expansion needs, financial due diligence, sourcing leads for strategic alliances.
Besides being a finance wizard with entrepreneurial facet, Dilip brings to Chiron rich experience, insight, and understanding of the intricacies of a wide range of industries.
Dr Bharat Damani has 32 years of experience with start-ups and scaling businesses. With a long-term
holistic approach, business requirements are clearly captured, enabling the entrepreneur and the
investor to understand what lies ahead in the entrepreneurial journey.
Bharat thrives in dissecting businesses and addressing innovative business concepts, identifying core issues for consideration during implementation. Interacting with him creates clarity of thought and a visualization of the future with specific actions to achieve the milestones and goals. Entrepreneurs and clients have benefited by his structured approach to finance, business strategy and decision making.
An engineer from IIT Kanpur with a Masters in Finance and a doctorate from IIT Bombay, Bharat has created 'The CESS Framework' to help nurture start-ups and social enterprises to become cash-flow sustainable. He has also created a board game, ‘Masti – A Life Simulation Game’, to create awareness about social entrepreneurship.
Bharat has also been active in entrepreneur education. He has been a guest / visiting faculty at Sydenham Institute of Management, S.P.Jain Institute of Management, Symbiosis University, FLAME University, Tata Institute of Social Sciences and IIT Bombay. He practices engagement oriented learning through simulation and practical work. His subjects include financial management, business plan preparation, new venture business strategy and social entrepreneurship. He takes special efforts to encourage entrepreneurship among students and professionals.
Francesca Keeki has Bachelor of Arts with Psychology and a postgrad diploma in Human Resources Management.
She started her career with the Thermax Group, a company known for their professional human resources
practices. Here she got exposed to, and developed skills on all aspects of human resources: from
recruitment to exit, target setting, performance management; people development; team building,
outdoor development, women empowerment, etc. Later on she worked with the A.T.E. Group, where she
independently managed a multi-divisional, multi-technology workforce of 140+ people for A.T.E.’s
Pune hub. Following the Group’s HRD practice of ‘HR as business partner’, Francesca actively participated
in the divisional business reviews, sales meets, etc., which gave her insights into business issues
and helped iron out various people issues for greater productivity.
Francesca brings to table in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of people processes, organization building, skill mapping & development, and change management.
Abhay Nalawade, after his graduation in Physics & post graduation in Business Management, worked
for 25 years with Thermax Limited - an Energy & Environmental Major. Starting in regional marketing
function, he moved on to become Business Head, Executive Director, finally ending up as a CEO &
Managing Director of the Group. Abhay's varied positions and responsibilities within the Group's
diversified businesses enabled him to understand, learn and lead the company through different
business cycles and take it to greater heights.
After leaving Thermax in 2000, he started Chiron Lasting Solutions Private Limited, a Strategic Management Consulting firm. In 2006 he formed a start-up venture - EcoAxis Systems in the field IoT enabling industrial units continuous monitoring of plants & processes to achieve more sustainable operations.
Post his retirement from the venture, he is now advising investors & businesses in fields of CleanTech, IoT sectors. He is also a part of PFAN (Private Financial & Advisory Network) promoted by UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development) and REEEP (Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Programme), Vienna.
An astute business strategist with strong management and people skills, he brings to Chiron the experience, skills and knowledge that help customers develop a vision and strategic plans in today's competitive environment. Passionate about sustainable development, Abhay believes that “all progress and growth must be achieved while sustaining ecosphere. Top management have to play a key role in this respect.”
Shailesh Sheth is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has long experience
in the engineering industry, as he served in the capacity of the Managing Director of Perfect Machine
Tools Group for several years. Currently, he is Corporate Strategy Advisor in management and manufacturing
technology. Mr Sheth has had long engagement with many leading industry associations and has been
the past President of Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers Association, Chairman of National Committee
on Capital Goods, CII, New Delhi, Chairman of Manufacturing Competitiveness Council, CII Western
He is a recipient of several awards including the prestigious ‘IMTMA-BFW H. R. Gupta Lifetime Achievement Award’. Mr Sheth is an Independent Director on the Boards of several companies such as Jost Engineering, Bharat Fritz Werner, KNF Pumps and A.T.E. Enterprises Private Limited.
CE Potnis is the Founder and Managing Director of Nitor Infotech, an IT company with presence in
USA, Europe, Middle East and India. With over 25 years of experience, Potnis has served on the
Board of several companies in India, Dubai and Muscat, and has been instrumental in turning around
organizations, aligning business with vision and strategy and growing businesses. He also co-founded
HPS Wellness, a company that scientifically maps an individual’s current health status and creates
a personalized route to better health.
Potnis is a published author and has to his credit two well-known books and multiple articles in business magazines and newspapers. His areas of interest include leadership, human behaviour and spirituality. Widely covered by the Media in India and overseas, he is a sought after speaker at industry events and conducts workshops in the above areas. Oriental Rubber is an industrial rubber goods producer in India over the last 50 years. They wanted to accelerate growth
by expanding the current customer base and foraying into new markets. They requested Chiron to come
up with a strategy that would ensure overall operational efficiency and substantial revenues.

For the last 35 years, Aquapharm Chemicals Private Limited is a manufacturer and global supplier of best in class Chemicals,
Phosphonates, Polymers, Oil ﬁeld Chemicals and Biodegradable chelating agents.
While the company grew rapidly both in topline and bottom-line, Aquapharm wanted a strategic direction for developing the organization, branding and cost competitiveness for long term sustainability. The mandate to Chiron was to move through some quick gains on short term basis, but more importantly to make Aquapharm self reliant for working out their long term goals with clarity and to set them on a new roadmap over a period of 24 months.
